CINEMA: Minecraft, a new distant release date for the film with Jason Momoa

It has been since 2014 that Warner Bros. try to adapt to the cinema Minecraft. As early as 2016, he hoped to release it in 2019, but countless directing and writing changes delayed production, as did the health crisis. While the license is still popular, the project has been revived as it should last year with the signing of Jason Momoa (Dunes, Aquaman) in the castin a still secret role.

Warner Bros. now seems more determined than ever to launch filming soon and has just granted a new release date for the feature film Minecraft : April 4, 2025 in the USA. It is still planned to be directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, The brains), from a screenplay by Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Markus Persson, Allison Schroeder and Peter Sollett. We have no more information at the moment, but we therefore have an appointment in theaters in two years to see the result, hoping that no postponement will take place by then.

Speaking of Jason Momoa, Warner Bros. also changed their schedule for another big production with the actor: the release date of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was brought forward to December 25-20, 2023 in the United Statesswapping places with the musical adaptation The Color Purple. Aquaman is available on Blu-ray from €6.95 on Amazon.co.uk.
