Franchise Pirates of the Caribbeanbased on an attraction of Disneyland, was treated to an excellent trilogy and then two other films of rather mediocre quality. But Hollywood likes to recycle its licenses and planned two new feature films Pirates of the Caribbeanincluding one with Margot Robbie as the main character.
The Australian actress already has an impressive career, between The wolf of Wall Street, The Big Short, Suicide Squad or Once Upon a Time…in Hollywoodshe will be featured in Barbie next year, but about the movie Pirates of the Caribbeanthat’s probably ancient history..
Margot Robbie is the star of the next issue of Vanity Fairshe spoke at length with the magazine and indeed revealed that the film project Pirates of the Caribbean seems to have been abandoned. She states:
We had an idea, we developed it for years, to do something with more women, not just with women, but let’s say it would have been a more feminine story, and it would have been really cool, but I I thought I understood that they did not want that.
Too bad for the fans, although most raised their shields when the film was announced without the participation of Johnny Depp, at the heart of the franchise. Regarding the other film, it is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and scripted by Ted Elliott (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Craig Marzin (Chernobyl, The Last of Us), but remains very mysterious.
