Today is International Hug Day. And in the movies too, we often hug each other. Can you recognize these eight movie hugs?

Hugs with aliens, like in the emotional finale of ET the Extra-Terrestrial by Steven Spielberg, when the creature must leave Earth to join his family, hugging a little Elliott in tears one last time under the moved eyes of his whole family.
Imaginary hugs also like in Todd Phillips’ Joker, when Arthur Fleck in front of his TV at the start of the film imagines himself as a guest on the show of his idol Murray Franklin, descending from the public to find himself on the set next to the star presenter that he will end up hugging warmly.
You can also cuddle in a bathtub, like when Jessica Lange joins Albert Finney in his bathtub to snuggle up against him in Tim Burton’s Big Fish.
And of course you can also give big hugs to your pet. Like Audrey Hepburn, in the emotional finale of Diamonds on the Couch, who, after having driven her cat out of her car in a fit of anger, finds herself upset and goes looking for herself. She ends up finding him in the pouring rain, and then nestles him warmly under his raincoat, to the great joy of the big cat.
