Cinema Quiz: impossible to get 8/8 on these questions!

We’ve lost count of the horror sagas that have returned to the big screen recently, from Scream to Halloween, and now it’s The Curse’s turn to get a prequel. For the occasion, we are offering you a special horror quiz!

Since yesterday you can shiver with fear at the cinema watching The Curse: The Origin, first feature film by American Arkasha Stevenson. A film prohibited for children under 16 whose plot takes place before Richard Donner’s classic, The Curse, made in 1976.

Directed by Gregory Peck, the original feature film told the story of how the United States Ambassador in London realized that his five-year-old son, Damien, was none other than the reincarnation of the Antichrist.

A cult film which was entitled to several sequels, a remake, a spin-off series and therefore, now, a prequel (already applauded by the public), which is part of the legacy of Richard Donner’s work but was designed to be accessible to fans of the original as well as laymen, and of which we reveal some filming secrets below.

Reprise

Actor Ralph Ineson, seen in The Witch and The Green Knight, plays Father Brennan, an Irish priest who appears in the original film as actor Patrick Troughton. The director specifies: “Ralph was faithful to Troughton’s accent and was a great help in bringing to the screen the weight of this conspiracy, which we sense has worn him down physically and how it still haunts him.

3 GOT actors!

The Curse: The Origin has three Game of Thrones actors in its cast: Charles Dance, Nell Tiger Free and Ralph Ineson. The first plays, in the cult HBO series, the character of Tywin Lannister, as intelligent as he is cruel. The second plays Myrcella Baratheon, the biological daughter of Cersei and Jaime Lannister. Finally, the third plays the warrior Dagmer Cleftjaw, who we don’t see much but who nevertheless stands out due to his disturbing physique.
