Broadcast at the time on the M6 channel, the TV movie is a fairly faithful adaptation to the novel and traumatized an entire generation of viewers.
The performance of comedian Tim Curry is probably not for nothing, as he is perfect in his role of diabolical clown. An actor who had already had the opportunity to make up a few years earlier, in 1984, for the film Legend by Ridley Scott, in which he played the terrifying Lord of Darkness.
The bestseller will be entitled to a second adaptation, this time on the big screen, directed by Andrés Muschietti.
