Toilets, shower, bathtub… the bathroom is undoubtedly a room of choice for the cinema, where many memorable scenes have taken place there.
If you take the shower, for example, you obviously immediately think of this shrill music, the knife that rises and falls, and the cry filled with terror of Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psychosis. In a lighter register, we also remember Ferris Bueller who, at the start of the film, confuses a shower head with a singing microphone.
The examples are not lacking either when you go to the toilets. There is the famous countdown scene in Lethal Weapon 2, where Roger stuck on a toilet bomb bomb asks his colleague Martin Riggs, who has come to rescue him, not very reassured, if “three of us jump” or “one two three and we jump”.

And then there are the bathtubs, which are also very numerous in the cinema. There’s the bathtub filled with rose petals that Mena Suvari languishes in in Kevin Spacey’s dream in American Beauty.
