Cinema Quiz: John or Jack? It’s up to you to find the names of these 10 characters!

These are two of the most common first names in the Anglo-Saxon world. Many fictional characters are called John or Jack. Will you manage to make no mistakes to find the correct first name of these ten movie heroes?

It sometimes happens that a single male first name acts as a film title for certain productions. This is particularly the case in France for many comedies. We can for example think of Tanguy by Etienne Chatiliez, in which a 28-year-old teenager still lives with his parents and does not seem determined to leave the family fold.

But his parents Paul and Edith (André Dussollier and Sabine Azéma) do not see the situation the same way, and will do everything possible to get rid of this offspring that has become cumbersome.

Another example with one of the most popular French comedy films of the 90s, Didier by and with Alain Chabat, in which the actor slips with talent into the skin of a dog who miraculously became human one fine morning to the great displeasure of his owner (Jean-Pierre Bacri).

More recently, it was the popular actor Anthony Bajon (Athena, The World of Tomorrow) who played the role of young Teddy in the eponymous film, a teenager who, after being scratched by an unknown beast, develops strange animal impulses.

There are also many examples across the Atlantic, if only in the biopic genre. In 2001 in Ali, it was director Michael Mann who staged Will Smith in the role of legendary boxer Mohamed Ali, a performance that earned him the first Oscar nomination of his career.

Three years later, it was another singer-actor, Jamie Foxx, who this time left with the famous statuette for his interpretation of the iconic Ray Charles in the film by Taylor Hackford Ray.

It is therefore with two first names that we are going to play today. It’s up to you to tell us if the ten characters in this quiz are named John or Jack. A chance in two, but the 10/10 will not be easy.
