Over the past three decades, the Disney empire has not held back from making its biggest cinematic successes bear fruit, by giving numerous sequels to its most profitable films. For example, we could cite The Incredibles, Cars, Frozen, or even the Toy Story tetralogy.

If we knew that a live action adaptation with Dwayne Johnson was in development, Disney had on the other hand managed to keep the secret surrounding this sequel, which seems in reality to be the evolution of a Disney+ series reoriented in feature film.
Christmas 2024 will also see the release of another film arousing curiosity, not a sequel this time, but a prequel, that of the majestic hero, Mufasa, father of Simba from The Lion King, but the 2019 version of Jon Favreau. The director will, however, give way to Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) for this new live action film.
