In 2016, two years after Whiplash, Damien Chazelle offered us one of the most beautiful romantic (and musical) comedies of recent years with La La Land. The story of two destinies, that of Mia, a young girl who decides to leave her job as a barista to try her luck in comedy, and Sebastian, a jazz pianist in a restaurant, who will cross paths to give birth to a love story made up of ups and downs over the four seasons.
But this film is not the only one to offer these two stars in the cast, since the actors had already been reunited on screen twice before. The first time was in 2011 in Crazy, Stupid, Love by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
Ryan Gosling played this time Jacob, an attractive young playboy helping a recently divorced man to restore his self-confidence. Jacob who, for his part, multiplies the meetings and the one-night stands, until he meets Hannah (Emma Stone), and then experiences something new and different.
Two years later, in 2013, we found the two actors side by side in Gangster Squad by Ruben Fleischer. A film set in the Mafia milieu of Los Angeles in the 1940s, in which an LAPD brigade tries to finally put Mickey Cohen, godfather who reigns supreme over the city, under the empire.
