Cinema quiz: which number has disappeared from these film posters?

Many movies have a number in their title. So place your bets by betting either on 7 or on 8, to try to find the original titles of these seven films!

7 or 8? That’s the question we’re asking you today, because many movies have one of these two numbers in their title.

Brad Pitt, for example – who we had the pleasure of seeing give an Honorary Cesar to his accomplice director David Fincher during the ceremony last week – had played the main role of Seven Years in Tibet under the direction of Jean-Jacques Annaud in 1997. He played the Austrian mountaineer Heinrich Harrer, the first winner of the north face of the Elger, who will accept Nazi money to conquer the Nanga Parbat, the untouched summit of the Himalayas.

In 2009, Will Smith played Ben Thomas in Seven Lives, who seeks his redemption by undertaking to radically change the lives of seven people he does not know. He then sets his plan in motion, without foreseeing that he is about to fall in love with one of the people targeted, and that it is then she who will transform him.

And in a particular register, certain films, often in the horrific and fantastic domains, have been so successful that they have launched franchises which have sometimes reached close to ten episodes!

We can for example cite Friday the 13th whose seventh and eighth chapters were released in 1988 and 1989 respectively. And it’s a safe bet that the Scream saga will also be part of the franchises to reach episodes 7 and 8, since we will already be able to discover number 6, on March 8 in theaters.

There are still many examples, enough to offer you this quiz where you will have to find which of these two numbers, 7 or 8, has disappeared from the titles on the posters of these seven films.
