CINEMA: Renfield, Nicolas Cage pulls out his fangs in the first trailer for the horror comedy with Dracula

Nicolas Cage and the vampires is a love story that dates back to the end of the 80s with Kiss me, vampirebut the American actor will play the most famous bloodsucker, namely Draculain Renfielda feature film between comedy and horror directed by Chris McKay (lego batman movie, The Tomorrow War).

Today, Universal Pictures shares the first trailer of Renfield, and that’s all we could expect from such a project. The movie will follow RM Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), a young man in the service of the Count Dracula (Nicholas Cage) who must regularly bring him victims to quench his bloodlust. A rather horrible job, Renfield try as best they can to escape the clutches of Dracula until you meet Rebecca Quincy (Awkwafina), and he will eventually stop providing for his master… which is obviously not at all to the liking of Dracula. References to old vampire movies are already there, and Nicolas Cage plays around in his costume, what more could you ask for? The trailer is to be discovered in VOSTFR above and in VF right here:

Renfield is already shaping up to be an offbeat horror comedy, the idea came from Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) and fits into the Dark Universe ofUniversal Pictureswhich beats garlic between the failure of The Mummy and the commercial success ofInvisible Man. Renfield is expected in theaters on May 31by then you can find Vampires in privacyanother horror comedy with vampires directed by Taika Waititi, at 19 € on Amazon.
