CINEMA: Scream, a sixth film made official after the success of the last part

Scream, the fifth part of the saga created by Wes Craven in 1996, was released in theaters at the end of last month, and it is already a success at the box office. After three weeks of operation, it has already grossed over $100 million to the distributor Paramount Pictures and producers Spyglass Media, Project X Entertainment and Radio Silence.

So of course, all these beautiful people agree to continue to capitalize on the license, and a sixth installment of the franchise Scream has just been made officialas reported The Hollywood Reporter. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will be back behind the camera, while James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick will again take care of the screenplay. The creative team therefore remains the same as on Scream (2022), and production should start this summer. Kevin Williamson, co-creator of the license, will once again be executive producer, something to reassure fans.

For the moment, the cast remains unknownbut it’s a safe bet that the survivors of the last installment should be there again. It now remains to be seen when this Scream 6 will be released in theatersand who will hide this time under the mask of Ghostface.
