CINEMA: Superman, Henry Cavill formalizes his return to the DCEU!

Last week hit theaters black adam (read our review), new film from DCEU featuring the eponymous anti-hero camped by Dwayne Johnson. If you have good memory, the actor had titillated the public during the San Diego Comic-Con last July by responding to a question asking him who would win between him and Superman, to which he replied that it would depend on who he has in front of him. And for good reason, since Justice League of 2017, Henry Cavill had hung up the cape and what was then called by some the snyderverse took a completely different direction. Since, Zack Snyder’s Justice League saw the light of day, rekindling certain hopes, but that’s not all. Attention once again, the rest of this article will contain spoilers on the recent film of this shared universe.

The rumor was true and the Superman by Henry Cavill did make an appearance at the very end of black adam during a post-credits scene, enough to delight the fans although no fighting sequence takes place between the two. Without leaving too much time for spectators around the world to have been able to go to the cinemas, the communication of DC Movies / Warner Bros. seems to have started since the British actor published a video this Monday evening on his account instagramshowing us first in costume (see image above) before he speaks:

Hey everyone, I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this because I wanted to give you a chance to watch Black Adam. But now that many of you have seen it, I wanted to make it official: I’m back as Superman. And, the images in this post and what you saw in Black Adam are just a taste of what’s to come. There is much to be grateful for and I will come back to that in due course. But I wanted to thank you all above all, thank you for your support and thank you for your patience. I promise you they will be rewarded.

The fans have therefore finally been listened to, it only remains to see in which project(s) we will find the character in the future, which seems a little more radiant now.

If you still haven’t seen it, man of steel is available on Blu-ray on Amazon at the price of 9.54 €.
