CINEMA: The Aristocats will also be adapted into a live-action film, Disney can’t stop

The adaptations in live action classics of Disney Animation do not date from today, as evidenced by the 101 Dalmatians from 1996 or even The jungle Book from 1994. But the machine has been racing in recent years with The beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Dumbo, The Lady and the Tramp and Mulan, not counting the spin-offs of the temper of cruella and Maleficent.

disney has other similar projects in the works, including sequels for some of the films we just mentioned, feature films on The Hunchback of Notre Dame and the Tinker Bell, or adaptations of Lilo & Stitch, The little Mermaid, Pinocchio or Hercules. One more is added this week: a film mixing live action and synthetic images The Aristocats, whose existence has just been revealed by Deadline.

The news site reports that the project is in early development, with Keith Bunin (Forward) and Will Gluck (Easy Girl, Peter Rabbit) to writing, the latter also having to produce the feature film via his company Olive Bridge Entertainment. History does not yet say if this remake of the 1970 classic will be released in cinemas or directly on Disney+, but the sources of Deadline describe a desire to produce animal animations close to those of The Lady and the Tramp, which was released on the video-on-demand platform (you can also subscribe to it for €8.99 per month). But the project would already have to come to an end, which may not be the case for all those of the genre in progress at disney.
