In the spring, one of the great classics of disney will make its return to the cinema through a new adaptation live action, The little Mermaiddirected by Rob Marshall with the title role of the young Halle Bailey. So far, we have only been able to discover first scenes during the D23 Expo and details on the cast and technical staff. Last night is a 30 second clip that was uploadedshowing us slightly more, something to interest the curious.
Indeed, in addition to the few words of Going there / Part of Your World sung by Arielseveral unpublished aquatic plans are proposed here, one already seen where we see the shadow of duffel, another with several mermaids, an amusing scene in which the heroine has fun with a puffer fish and a final one where she collapses on a shoal of jellyfish like a mattress. We have also a first face to face on the surface between Ariel and the prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King) who is about to kiss her. The end of the video tease on her side the wicked Ursula (Melissa McCarthy) of which we only see the eyes and a tentacle. Can’t wait for a more complete trailer to be released, the release of The Little Mermaid being set for May 26, 2023 at the cinema.
