Lauterbach reports von Storch for insult

Karl Lauterbach is one of the most threatened politicians in Germany. He also has to endure hostilities in the Bundestag. An action by AfD politician von Storch at a meeting goes too far for the Minister of Health. He files a complaint.
Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach is repeatedly exposed to insults and hostilities – also in the Bundestag. As a result of a speech in the Bundestag, the SPD politician reported AfD MP Beatrix von Storch for insult. Von Storch is said to have deliberately sought eye contact with Lauterbach and then described him as “crazy”. The politician made a hand gesture that Lauterbach interpreted as “showing the bird”. The “mirror” reported. The Federal Ministry of Health later confirmed the ad.
The report was therefore received by the police in Berlin. Federal Transport Minister Volker Wissing and Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Social Affairs, Annette Kramme, are given as witnesses. The latest changes to the Infection Protection Act, which are to apply from October 1, were decided at the session in question.
Lauterbach himself tweeted: “Again and again insults and threats from members and MPs of #NoAfD. Both are part of the party’s political style. Only consistent reporting can help here,” and linked the “Spiegel” report under his tweet.
Beatrix von Storch said: “Lauterbach has lost all connection to reality. I would like to reiterate that. His corona panic is irrational and shows traits of obsession. The fact that he now wants to use ads to settle the dispute over his politics shows that he loses his nerve.”
Lauterbach is one of the most threatened politicians in Germany and is classified in the highest security level. Accordingly, he deals with reports consistently. “In Cologne alone there are currently 98 initiated and ongoing investigations, in 65 cases the identity of the perpetrators was determined,” Lauterbach reported in April. “I do it so consistently because an opponent of vaccination who threatens me with violence will probably also threaten his mayor or city council. A successful complaint from me can also protect others.”
According to Lauterbach, without personal protection, he can neither go for a walk nor go out to eat: “I would endanger myself, but also others with whom I go to eat or who happen to be near me.”
