Prime Video has reserved a nice surprise for Citadel fans by unveiling at the end of episode 6 a first teaser for the Italian spin-off, entitled Diana.
Few know this, but Prime Video launched Citadel with the goal of making it an international franchise. The platform launched the filming of the parent series with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, while preparing its first two spin-offs, before even knowing if subscribers were going to be receptive. The first will take us to Italian while the second will take us to India. And it is precisely the transalpine project that was unveiled at the end of episode 6, posted online yesterday.
Entitled Citadel: Diana, it features a whole new team of secret agents. The series is notably carried by Matilda de Angelis, an Italian actress who we see more and more on our screens. She had given the reply to Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant in the series The Undoing, before landing the first role of Lidia makes her law on Netflix. Change of cut and style for her and for the Frenchy Julia Piaton, which we see very briefly in these images. Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Thekla Reuten, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz and Filippo Nigro complete the green white and red cast.
The Citadel teaser: Diana announces an action-packed series, but in a very different style from the parent series, which played it James Bond. It is not yet known what this spin-off will be about or if it will be related to Mason and Nadia. But by all logic, this should take place before the fall of Citadel since virtually all the agents have been eliminated by Manticore.
Launch planned for 2024, before the arrival of Citadel season 2.
