Citroën Ami Tonic and My Ami Play: ever more attractive

2

Citroën continues to build on the success of its electric quadricycle by offering a new, more colorful and apparently more dynamic Ami Tonic version. Connectivity is also improved with My Ami Play.

Sold in more than 23,000 units, the Citroën Ami is a great success with young customers who do not yet have their driving license but aspire to mobility. If the small electric quadricycle finds takers in urban areas with its speed limited to 45 km / h, it is above all in the countryside that it is a hit, where it makes up for the lack of public transport. Above all, its official autonomy of 80 km often allows it to transport the teenager to high school, among friends or to sports activities, while reassuring parents a little more compared to a 2-wheel equivalent 50 cm³.

The manufacturer continues its conquest of the sector by offering a more attractive version. The Tonic finish does not change anything in the technical characteristics, but it is adorned with more fun fittings. The Citroën Ami Tonic is equipped with personalization elements existing on other versions, and new style elements combining a khaki tint and a tangy yellow.

Outside, the Ami Tonic is adorned with khaki hubcaps, a mask at the top of the black front bumper with yellow sticker, black front and rear bumper reinforcements, two sets of wheel arches black with yellow sticker, black front headlight bezels, as well as stickers on the door sills, the doorways, the quarter panels, and finally two roof bars. The passenger compartment is also brightened up with three khaki dashboard storage bins, two black floor mats with khaki edging, a yellow passenger side bag hook, two black door nets with khaki stripe, yellow strap and a support clip for smartphones.

The Citroën Ami Tonic also comes with the DAT@AMI dongle to connect your smartphone. Indeed, in parallel with this new version, Citroën is launching My Ami Play. This new interface, integrated into the My Citroen companion app, consists of features such as navigation, music, radio and calls. It is coupled to the Citroën Switch, a large red button located on the steering wheel, which allows direct pairing of the smartphone via Bluetooth to access the functionalities by touch or voice. A roundabout way to create an infotainment screen in a car that doesn’t have one.

This new Ami Tonic version costs €1200 more than the entry-level Ami. The sum is not anecdotal, but allows the manufacturer to capitalize on the sympathy aroused by its electric quadricycle. This version is also available for long-term rental from €34.99/month over 48 months with a down payment of €3,757.
