Citroën is entering the e-bike market: is the pedelec duck coming?

Even Porsche has e-bikes in its range – now Citroën is also announcing plans to do so.

For over 100 years, Citroën has been creating automobiles with unmistakable design and extreme reliability. From June, the French manufacturer wants to offer various city e-bikes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Some models can already be viewed on a website. The prices have also already been set – these are primarily e-bikes in the price range of around 1,500 euros.

In a press release, the general distributor, Elektro Mobile Deutschland GmbH based in Offenburg, announces that further models will follow. These can also be viewed on the website. These include the foldable FFR 5001 model at the introductory price of 1,700 euros, which could be a cheap alternative to the GoCycle model we tested.
