After Johannes Anzengruber was voted out as deputy mayor in Innsbruck in December, the city ÖVP nominated Andreas Wanker as his successor for the city senate. Anzengruber’s departments – general security, professional fire brigade, social affairs, child and youth welfare, tourism and health – fell back to BM Georg Willi. He wants to reassign it, as he explained on Wednesday after the city senate: Wanker should definitely become the acting city councilor, said Willi. Which departments come into question is still the subject of negotiations. Willi wants to present details about this next Monday.
