Claire Keim (Aim for the heart): what she absolutely wanted about the physical appearance of her character

Tormented cop in TF1’s new police miniseries, Aim for the heart, the actress tells us how she approached this borderline role in which she put a lot of herself, which will be broadcast from Thursday September 1.

After Zodiac, Unsuspected Where Unfaithful, Here you are again in a detective miniseries on TF1. What convinced you to dive back into an already well-marked universe?

Claire Keim: This is Fanny Robertone of the creators of Aim for the heart with Sophie Lebarbierduo who had imagined the series Profiling, who knew how to persuade me. Moreover, she confessed to me that she wrote the role of Julia Scola for me! I found it clever to tell the story of the two heroes over three eras. The tangle of sequences, like a puzzle, skillfully allowed us to keep the thread of the relationship between the heroes, and to wonder what happened to create such tension between them. This suspense kept me in suspense throughout the reading.

Who is Julia, this strong and damaged woman inside?

She’s a rather quiet character who tries to be calm and solid, but you can tell she’s hiding a secret, and I wanted to find out. I wanted to play the natural card to the fullest, without make-up, to underline her mental and physical exhaustion.

The dispute between Julia and Novak, his former love, drives the story. How to define this attraction-repulsion rooted in their common past?

Indeed, we constantly wonder if they are going to kill each other or make love! (She laughs.) This constant tension was great to play and also exhausting!

The climate of the series is highly anxiety-provoking. Does this influence the way you work?

On a set, I am used to having fun. However, if the character of Julia fascinates me, it was quite trying because in the grip of dark stories. I had to bring it all the same towards the light. I learned a lot about myself and what I was going to have to settle to surrender myself more.
