Clariane on the rise after the arrival of a new reference shareholder

(AOF) – Clariane gains 6.36% to 3.48 euros after announcing several capital increase operations intended to strengthen its financial structure for a maximum total amount of approximately 328 million euros. The group of retirement homes will welcome the investment company HLD Europe as a new reference shareholder alongside Crédit Agricole Assurances.

This operation is part of a plan announced by Clariane last November intended to reduce debt and strengthen its financial structure, while it was facing significant financing difficulties.
HLD Europe will subscribe for a 20% stake in the capital as part of a reserved capital increase, which will be submitted to a vote at the next shareholders’ meeting on June 10, Clariane said.
HLD Europe would subscribe 74.1 million euros of the capital increase, specifies the press release.

Clariane recalls that the Combined General Meeting of shareholders of March 26 approved by 98% the principle of a capital increase with maintenance of shareholders’ preferential subscription rights of a maximum nominal amount of 300 million euros, that Crédit Agricole Assurances, via its subsidiary Predica, the company’s largest shareholder, with 24.6% of the capital, has undertaken to guarantee as necessary up to a maximum amount of 200 million euros.

The group presents its new reference shareholder as “a recognized investment capital group, supported by leading French entrepreneurial families, which supports European companies with high growth potential, particularly in health and in the service sectors essential”.
