INFO LE FIGARO – The granddaughters of Jacques Courtin, the founder, are promoted to the head of the two governing bodies.
A page is turning at Clarins. Created in 1954 by Jacques Courtin, the group is now led by two of his granddaughters. Prisca Courtin, 35, was promoted to chair of the supervisory committee on Tuesday, replacing her uncle, Christian, one of Jacques’ two sons. At 36, her cousin Virginie, Christian’s eldest daughter, was appointed general manager. She will sit on the management committee, alongside Jonathan Zrihen, president and CEO since 2005, and her uncle, Olivier Courtin, father of Prisca, and also managing director, in charge of R&D. “I will now have the same level of influence as Jonathan and Olivier in the decision-making of the management committee”is the youngest member of this triumvirate, which oversees the executive committee made up of the group’s fifteen main managers.
