Clash Royale: the next update announces heavy, with two new cards

On Clash Royale, the rate of additions of new units has calmed down for several years, but from time to time Supercell likes to reshuffle the cards with an XXL update. This year, we will be entitled to two new maps, a new ranked mode and a big matchmaking adjustment.

When is the update coming out?

Supercell has formalized the deployment date of the patch. The update will be implemented on our phones on October 26.

New maps

The monk

Champion

Can be obtained from 6500 trophies

When attacking, the Monk unleashes a fearsome three-hit combo, and the final hit knocks enemies back! This finishing punch deals bonus damage to each unit hit and knocks enemies back (like the log).

Special ability

With his Force of Soul ability, the Monk channels his inner power to create a protective dome around himself and allies within range, reducing damage taken and reflecting projectiles aimed at him.

The Phoenix

The Phoenix is a new legendary air unit that deals melee damage. Once defeated, he is consumed by intense fire and deals bonus area damage to nearby enemies and buildings, before taking refuge in a phoenix egg.

If this egg is not destroyed in time, the phoenix rises from its ashes

Ranked Mode Hall of Legends

The Hall of Legends replaces the Trophy Path league system. It is made up of ten leagues, and the last contains the honor gallery which displays the best players on the planet!

Maximum leagues and levels

When you reach the 15 to 5,000 trophy arena, you can unlock the brand new Hall of Legends by tapping the icon next to the battle button on the main screen.

Each league has a maximum level. In other words, your cards or your turns cannot exceed a level defined by the league in which you are.

Climb the stairs

After winning a fight in the Hall of Legends, you can climb one step closer to the next league.

There are two types of steps: stone steps and gold steps.

A stone step breaks if you take a defeat, sending you back further down the Hall. Gold steps never break! If you reach a golden step, you do not lose your progress even if you lose a fight. Use the golden steps to progress more efficiently!

If you reach a new league, you cannot be relegated to a lower league, even if you lose.

Ranked Season Reset

At the end of each Ranked Season, all players begin their journey through the Hall of Legends again.

Depending on your ranking at the end of the season, you receive a multiplier allowing you to reach your previous ranking more quickly. The multiplier decreases after the first victory.

Redesigned trophy lane

With the launch of the Hall of Legends, a few changes are taking place on the trophy path.

The trophy path stops at 7,500 trophies and does not reset each season. You can earn trophies, discover new arenas and collect rewards along the way. Once you reach the end of the trophy lane, you cannot gain or lose any more trophies. On the other hand, you can continue to play it, win chests and gold coins, without fear of losing anything!

With six new arenas on the trophy lane, the contents of chests and the amount of gold will increase in proportion. The further you go, the more the rewards will be worth!

Level portals and minimum trophies

Trophy lane arenas will now have level portals. To access it, you will need to have enough experience and have reached the level of the corresponding king.

All arenas will have a minimum of trophies, such that if you reach an arena, you cannot go back to the previous one.

King level revamp

Your king level will now be separate from the crown towers level, and it can reach level 50. The maximum level for crown towers, now called tower power, remains level 14. player associations (going from 14 to 50 levels, which is quite a lot!) and creates better matchmaking for everyone.

The famous Canadian streamer recently tried his hand at Clash Royale. But it seems that Supercell’s game is not for everyone… It only took 10 minutes for xQc to start blaming the game’s free to play aspect
