On November 24, 2023, a charity classical music concert organized by Air France will be held at the Salle Gaveau in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. During this evening, the funds raised will go into the coffers of the Air France Corporate Foundationwhich leads actions in favor of underprivileged children in many countries. In a press release, the French firm explains the vocation of this event which takes place in parallel with the celebration of its thirty years of existence: “For this new edition dedicated to Johannes Brahms, the Air France Choir supports our Foundation. It thus contributes to the actions carried out by the Air France Foundation throughout the world, in favor of the education and integration of children and young people, the deepening of environmental awareness and humanitarian patronage. And to specify: “It is active in mainland France, in the overseas departments and in all countries served by the company”. For the moment, no precise information has been revealed on how the profits from this event would be used, however, they will be part of actions linked to “education, inclusion, social and professional integration, as well as the cultural, sporting and artistic development of young and disadvantaged audiences, sick or disabled“.
A foundation that has already proven itself
The Air France Corporate Foundation already has a strong foundation in humanitarian programs. For thirty years, she has accumulated “more than 1,600 projects supported and financed in 80 countries”. Note that it notably contributed to the construction of educational establishments and “educational and social structures in Brazil and Dakar” but also to the development of programs “academic support and distribution of materials IT in France, the purchase of books, educational and creative games as well as sports equipment in Madagascar, the purchase of medical equipment in the Dominican Republic.
