Mourning for Claus Biederstaedt: The actor died at the age of 91. The ZDF reports, citing his long-time friend, Bernd Späth. His son also confirmed the death of the film and TV star.
In the early 1950s Biederstaedt made his film debut in "The Great Temptation" and received the 1952 Federal Film Award for Best Young Actor. The actor was also seen in numerous roles on television. In the course of his career he shot with stars like Romy Schneider and Heinz Rühmann ("Charley's Aunt"). Biederstaedt also became known as a voice actor. He lent his voice to Marlon Brando, Peter O'Toole and "Columbo" Peter Falk, among others. Biederstaedt also worked on the theater.
