Claw: everything you need to know about MSI’s new Windows portable console

The Steam Deck helped show the general public that it was possible to combine the PC world with the ergonomics of a console. Before its arrival in February 2022, the most adventurous of PCists nomads had to obtain supplies from the Chinese market, with machines most often running under Windows (GPD Win, Aya Neo…). And it is precisely on this operating system thatAsus (ROG Ally) And Lenovo (Legion Go) released their console, preferring the logic of “I can play everything” to “I only play what is optimized for my machine”. If the portable console Valve stands apart, due to its (low) power and its proposal, the next portable console MSI Claw surprises with its own: developing a machine totally under Intel and not under AMD. A heresy for many, a surprise for others!

If Intel has equipped the GPD Win (the first of its kind) and many other consoles Windows subsequently, it is clear that beyond the Proof of conceptthe result was rarely conclusive : problem of heating, autonomy, power and above all, optimization. And then, AMD got involved, thus becoming the new reference among nomadic players.

It’s 2024 and here we are there MSI Claw arrives with a COULD 100% Intel. Will this mark a renewal, a clumsiness or some kind of revolution? Let’s first start to see what the beast has in its belly before deciding:
