Clear the way for traffic light government: Greens vote for coalition agreement

Clear the way for the traffic light government
Greens vote for coalition agreement

As the last of the three traffic light parties, the Greens also approved the coalition agreement. In a strike vote, 86 percent voted for the government with the SPD and FDP.

After the SPD and FDP, the Greens have also approved the coalition agreement for a joint federal government. With 86 percent of the 71,150 valid votes, the Green members spoke out in favor of the joint government program and the appointment of the Green Cabinet post decided by the party executive, as the Federal Political Director Michael Kellner said in Berlin.

“We are starting a strong federal government with a tailwind,” commented Annalena Baerbock on the result.
