  • A trial against Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and some of her colleagues has begun in London.
  • The prosecution accuses them of disturbing public order.
  • This after they protested against a meeting of energy managers in the city three months ago.

At the start of the trial on Thursday, the 21-year-old and her four co-defendants each gave their names and dates of birth.

Thunberg had been temporarily arrested in the demonstration in October because she and others are said to have refused to release a street and instead demonstrate on the sidewalk.

At a court hearing in mid-November, she pleaded innocent. If convicted, she could face a fine.
