Climate icon Greta Thunberg criticizes the fashion industry with a Vogue cover

Climate activist Greta Thunberg (18) graces the cover of the first issue of “Vogue Scandinavia” – and she uses the opportunity to criticize the fashion industry. The young Swede posted a picture of the front page of the new Scandinavian offshoot of the fashion magazine on her social media channels on Sunday evening. On it she wears a kind of oversized trench coat and lovingly strokes a horse in a forest.

She also pointed out the problems associated with fast fashion on Twitter and Instagram. “The fashion industry is a major contributor to the climate and environmental emergency, not to mention its impact on the myriad of workers and communities that are being exploited around the world for some to enjoy fast fashion that many treat as disposable.”
