Clothing: Puma with a good quarter

Sales rose in the first quarter by 19.2 percent to around 1.55 billion euros, as the company announced on Wednesday in Herzogenaurach. The operating result (EBIT) more than doubled to 154.3 million euros. The bottom line was that Puma earned 109.2 million euros, around three times as much as in the previous year.

In terms of sales, the company is now a little more optimistic than before for the year as a whole. The forecast has been raised here. However, the group continues to expect negative effects in connection with the pandemic. The EBIT and the group result should improve significantly, Puma confirmed earlier statements.
