Three new corona cases at FC Bayern

Niklas Süle is still in isolation when a defender at Bayern is out because of a Covid 19 infection. According to consistent reports, Josip Stanisic has tested positive. Two employees from the functional team of the Bundesliga soccer team have apparently also been infected.

At Bayern there are apparently the next corona cases. As several media reports unanimously, a player and two people from the professional team’s supervisory staff tested positive for Covid-19 in the league table leader of the Bundesliga. It is said to be right-back Josip Stanisic. FC Bayern did not comment on the reports.

Stanisic is said to have tested positive by the Croatian national team shortly after his return. The 21-year-old, who is reported to have been double-vaccinated, is already in quarantine and has not yet shown any symptoms of Covid 19 disease. Stanisic was not involved in the 7-1 of the 2018 runners-up in Malta, and in the 1-0 win against Russia, which was decisive for the successful World Cup qualification, he was substituted on shortly before the end of the game.

After national player Niklas Süle, Stanisic’s infection is currently the second in the professional team’s squad. With the exception of Stanisic’s failure, the positive test should not have any impact on the Bundesliga game at FC Augsburg on Friday evening (8.30 p.m. / DAZN and in the live ticker at ntv.de). In contrast to Süle, according to initial findings, no contact persons need to be quarantined – his Covid-19 finding after arriving at the DFB-Elf resulted in Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting as well as the Salzburg’s Karim Adeyemi had to go into isolation.

Kimmich’s argument for not vaccinating up to now had been harshly criticized because he had raised concerns that had been refuted by science. Gnabry, Musiala and Choupo-Moting have not yet been vaccinated, according to uncontested media reports. The quartet had only recently been able to free themselves. However, the four footballers are not allowed to live with the rest of the team in the team hotel, as the 2G rule applies there – access is only available to those who have been vaccinated or who have recovered. Süle is still in isolation and is therefore unable to attend.
