Clues: the annual reviews are approaching

Liberum believes that Endeavor Mining, Centrica and Howden Joinery could join the FTSE 100 tomorrow during the periodic review of the UK index by the FTSE Russell. These securities are quite close to the automatic entry threshold, but their inclusion is not guaranteed. In particular that of Centrica, explains the research department, because its market capitalization is almost identical to that of easyJet. Evraz, Polymetal and Royal Mail could pay the price. The two Russian groups listed in London obviously bear the brunt of their plunge after the invasion of Ukraine. Royal Mail, for its part, has been in sharp decline since the start of the year, which put it at the top of the exclusion list.

In continental Europe, Euronext will publish the revision of its indices on March 10th. Qontigo will update the DAX, MDAX, SDAX and TecDAX (Deutsche Börse) indices on March 3.

The STOXX too

Last week, Société Générale delivered its predictions regarding the next update of the STOXX Europe 600 index, which will be announced by Qontigo on 1er next March. Analyst Yohan Le Jallé thinks the new entrants will be Aurubis (Germany, copper & precious metals), Vantage Towers (Germany, telecom pylons), EasyJet (UK, air transport), SSAB (Sweden, steel) and OSB Group (UK, mortgages), because they meet the index criteria. On the other hand, Auto1 (Germany, second-hand cars), InPost (Poland, postal services), Afry (Sweden, engineering), Iveco (Italy, heavy goods vehicles) and Deliveroo (United Kingdom, home delivery) should bear the costs of this arbitration.
