CMT QUARTERLY INDICATORS AS OF MARCH 31, 2024 • Revenue increasing and debt continuing to fall – 05/10/2024 at 08:09

For the first quarter of 2024, CMT accelerated its extraction rate, with processed production of 92,350 tonnes, up 4.8% compared to 2023. The volumes of concentrates from this production stood at 6 210 tonnes, down 7.1% compared to the first quarter of 2023. The drop in volumes produced had no impact on sales of concentrates which continue to benefit from the continued increase in global demand for lead and zinc. As such, sales stood at 5,877 tonnes, up 3%, with a contribution of 241,113 ounces for silver. This performance resulted in a turnover of MAD 140 million, up 6.6% compared to the first quarter of 2023.
CMT is confident of an imminent resolution of the ongoing files with the Office des Changes and will keep the market informed of any developments on this subject.
