Safety first: The US authorities banned the Coachella Festival, which was scheduled for April. There is no alternative date yet.

The legendary Coachella Festival has to be postponed again. Local authorities in Riverside County banned the mega-event scheduled for April 2021. The reason: Another increase in the number of corona infections in the US state of California and the expected influx of tens of thousands of people from all over the world. The event could not take place due to state framework conditions, said the official in charge of the US side "The Press-Enterprise".

It is still unclear whether the music festival will be rescheduled for another date this year. An official statement from the organizers is still pending. Last year, the organizers initially postponed the festival from spring 2020 to autumn 2020 due to the first corona wave. However, the authorities also prohibited it in October.
