Coachella: Festival doesn't take place for the time being because of Corona

For a long time it was just a rumor, now it is certain: The cult festival Coachella near the town of the same name in the US state of California is being postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak. The organizers have now announced this on the official website. "The Coachella will now take place on October 9th to 11th and 16th to 18th, 2020," the statement said. Take the safety and health of guests, employees and society very seriously.

The mega event was actually planned to have around half a million visitors in April. People from all over the world have been meeting at the "Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival" since the early 1990s. In recent years, the event has increasingly become a hotspot for stars and starlets, who usually mingle with the general public. Even numerous Hollywood stars, such as Leonardo DiCaprio (45), are regular visitors. This year, the reunited political band Rage Against the Machine is expected to be the headliner.
