Coachella: Festival in California probably postponed to 2021

The 21st Coachella Festival is unlikely to take place this year due to the Corona crisis. Thus, the original idea to move the open air in the Californian Indio from April to October 2020 is no longer valid. According to "Billboard", the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which celebrated its premiere in 1999, will only be available again in 2021. The organizers have not yet officially confirmed the relocation.

To do this, it is necessary to clarify the form in which the US festival is to be held in the coming year. We are talking about a smaller version in April with a 60 percent load or the usual size in October. For the decision one wants to watch the further course of the crisis. Over 40 percent of this year's ticket holders are said to have already asked the operator for a refund.

The Coachella is now one of the most prestigious and largest music festivals in the world and attracts over 125,000 visitors every year. Headliners this year would have been Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott (28) and Frank Ocean (32). How the line-up 2021 should look is not yet clear.
