In recent years, connected rings have become increasingly popular. So much so that after Oura, Circular, Noise or Ultrahuman, it is now the turn of more traditional technology players to prepare to launch their own model, like Samsung whose Galaxy Ring is expected at the start of the year. ‘next year.

However, the pioneers of the sector are not idle and, even before the announcement of Samsung’s first ring, the French manufacturer Circular unveiled, this Wednesday, its new health-oriented connected ring model, the Circular Ring Slim.

The thinnest connected ring on the market

This ring completes the Circular range and supports its first connected ring, renamed Circular Ring Pro. However, where it stands out from its predecessor and the rest of the market is in its finesse. The manufacturer’s new ring indeed displays a thinness of 2.2 mm, compared to 2.75 mm for the Circular Ring Pro, 2.55 mm for the Oura Ring, 2.45 mm for the Ultrahuman Ring Air, 2.8 mm for the Noise Luna Smart Ring and 3.2 mm for the Muse Ring One. This is the thinnest connected ring on the market.

However, despite this thinness and its weight of 2 grams, the new Ring Slim from Circular does not skimp on features and health measures. It will thus be able to measure heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), heart rate variability (HRV) and also has a six-axis accelerometer in order to count the number of steps during the day. A temperature sensor is also integrated, allowing skin temperature to be measured. From the data measured every two minutes, Circular indicates that it can calculate other health data such as sleep quality and cycles, stress or calories burned.

A vibration motor and an integrated assistant

The ring also has a vibration motor which can be used to alert you in the event of an alarm or to guide your breathing exercises. Furthermore, a tactile surface on the Ring Slim will allow you to interact with different functions, correlated with haptic feedback via vibration. The Circular Ring Slim also includes a personal assistant, called Kira+, which is supposed to give health recommendations and provide analyzes based on the data retrieved.

In terms of autonomy, Circular announces up to five days of use on its Ring Slim, compared to 8 days for the Ring Pro. For comparison, Oura announces 7 days of autonomy for its Oura Ring 3.

The new Circular Ring Slim connected ring will be available from December 15 at a price of 259 euros. Until then, the ring is available for pre-order at a price of 229 euros.
