The developers of the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise have already teased that a “next generation” is coming.
Even though it’s only been a few months since Call of Duty: Vanguard was released, the community already wants to know what the next year has in store for Call of Duty. We already have a few small details sprinkled about this upcoming game, including the fact that 11 development studios are expected to work on the game, including Treyarch and Infinity Ward. It should be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019, probably named Modern Warfare II.
With the current version of Warzone already potentially changing, Activision and Infinity Ward have already touched on their plans for the next Call of Duty release and it looks quite promising.
After already many rumors about the next game, Activision has finally shed light on what is happening behind the scenes. They revealed that Infinity Ward will be the lead development studio for the upcoming CoD and that they will also be working on Warzone 2.
In response to this, the developers posted a simple, telling message on their Twitter account.
A new generation of Call of Duty is coming soon.
Stay frosty.
