COD Modern Warfare 2: New Leaks Confirm New Mode

The sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is highly anticipated. And to raise the hype around the game, it seems thatActivision has invited players from the NFL team, Los Angeles Ramsto come and test the title during a private event.

However, some players have shown content that has not yet been officially announced on Twitter. They deleted their tweets before replacing them with generic shots of event banners. Fortunately, some fans retrieved the footage and noticed a very interesting detail.

Indeed, for several weeks, rumors about a new game mode called DMZ have been circulating on the web. This game mode would be a royal extraction mode and would look a lot like Escape from Tarkov. So in this blurry photo of the game mode selection screen, we can see the word DMZ. Although this does not confirm if he is indeed similar to Tarkovthis new game mode will seem to be present in Modern Warfare 2.

Other rumors, however, believe that DMZ will not be part of Modern Warfare 2 at launchand that it will arrive later in the form ofa distinct free-to-play experience, similar to Warzone 2 and current Warzone. Others, on the other hand, have suggested that it would be an additional item of the set and that it would share an existing map with a different mode, maybe the new Warzone.

Nothing is sure yet around this mode which makes more than one drool. As a reminder, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled for release on October 28 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The game’s beta is expected to take place in September, but it hasn’t been officially announced yet.
