CoD: Modern Warfare 2 would have a Rainbow Six Siege mode?

According to a recent leak, Call of Duty 2022: Modern Warfare 2 will feature a game mode inspired by Rainbow Six Siege. Roles, gadgets, areas to fortify, here is everything we know about it.

While Vanguard is still in the spotlight, lots of information has already started to surface about Call of Duty 2022, enough to get a glimpse of what the developers are up to next.

The first leaks touched on different topics such as “Brutal realism” from the countryside, who “Would look like Red Dead Redemption 2”, the multiple maps expected, or even a game mode inspired by Escape From Tarkov.

A mode of Call of Duty 2022 would be inspired by Rainbow Six Siege

Now, new leaks suggest that another unique mode is in the works for Modern Warfare 2, this time inspired by Rainbow Six Siege. Players would take turns filling unique roles, attacking and defending objectives, while using traps and cameras to their advantage.

How Modern Warfare 2’s Rainbow Six Siege-inspired mode would work

Simply called “Attackers versus Defenders”, this mode would divide players into 2 teams before custom roles are decided. It’s unclear exactly what most roles involve, but one player on each side should be the team leader.

The goal of the attackers would be to complete an objective before the time runs out while the defenders should “Develop a plan to slow down or completely stop the attackers”.

To do this players would have a number of features available to them. Like in Rainbow Six Siege, defenders could set traps, hide, and even use cameras to spot attackers. In addition, teams would even have the opportunity to “strengthen” certain areas, the destruction playing visibly “a major role” in this mode.

In addition to these new features, a new health system seems to be in order. Depending on the damage absorbed, players would enter one of the following 3 situations: “Minor, Critically Injured and Mortally Injured”.

Once the defenders are knocked out in a round, they’re gone for good. The attackers, on the other hand, would have “Tourniquets” to help the injured.

Obviously, a lot can still change during development. It is even possible that this mode will never see the light of day.
