This new Warzone skin is controversial. This good doggie would have been plagiarized from the work of an artist who claims to have had no communication with Activision.

In an update for Call Of Duty: Warzoneplayers have discovered a brand new very adorable and very fluffy skin since it isan anthropomorphic dog dressed in military attire. This adorable skin of samoyed dog bears a striking resemblance to a design originally uploaded to ArtStation two years ago by concept artist Sail Lin.

Today, Sail Linen spoke out on Twitter and on his own page ArtStation to accuse Activision Blizzard of plagiarism. The latter confirmed to our colleagues from Kotaku that the publisher had not contacted him before the announcement of the skin.

“Hello everyone, I’m salin, I’m the original artist whose next Samoyed skin from COD VANGUARD has been plagiarized […] I have only just learned, at the time of the announcement, that my work has been plagiarized. Even though I’m also a COD player, I’m very disappointed to see my work plagiarized like this by a big company like Activision. I have contacted Activision for an explanation and/or compensation, and hope the situation will be resolved soon. As an individual artist, there’s not much I can do, and I need to speak out about this to prevent things like this from happening in the future.”

The original publication of Raven Software concerning the skin has been changed, but it is possible to view the original using the WayBack Machine. The current version is dated July 28 (one day after the original) and no longer shows the military pooch who, according to Sail Lin, was stolen from him.
