A new bug in Activision’s battle royale is spoiling the experience for players who are calling on the developers to do something as soon as possible.
A new bug has been discovered in Call Of Duty: Warzone. This problem is related to the ping that players can emit and the latter makes the title unplayable for some. Warzone’s ping system (carried over from Apex Legends) is an important communication tool for players. Pings allow you to report places, enemies or even loot to alert other members of their team.
However, a new bug related to this tool is causing huge problems for some players. In a Reddit thread, a Warzone player noted that the ping causes frame drops and latency spikes. Given usefulness of the in-game feature, this problem completely breaks the gaming experience for players suffering from this problem. Several players have reported having this problem, both on PC and console.
In particular, we can read in the answers to the thread:
“So when I first read this I thought maybe that’s not the case, then I got loose in a game and noticed some lag and thought I’d give this a try. theory. You are quite right. Even if my teammates ping or if an icon is on the screen, there is a huge lag on the PS4.
Despite complaints from many players, no developer has commented on this bug. The problem is still recent and it might take some time to get fixed.
