Cogra: net income for the first half of 22/23 at 2.6 million euros – 02/13/2023 at 10:01 am

(AOF) – Producer of wood pellets, Cogra posted a turnover of 25.4 million euros in the first half of 2022/2023, up 25% compared to the previous financial year. Net income over this period amounted to 2.6 million euros, representing a net margin of 10%, compared to 2.9 million euros and 7% net margin for the whole of the previous fiscal year . In a booming energy wood market, Cogra took full advantage of its production capacities, increased by the start-up of its new plant in Craponne-sur-Arzon in the first quarter of 2021.

The group also benefited from the good management of its stocks and supplies. This performance is all the more noteworthy as Cogra has chosen to limit the increase in selling prices which occurred in several stages and whose total was less than 20% at the end of the period.

Managing its operations with agility and caution to serve demand throughout the winter season, net purchases of raw materials and goods increased by 48%, to €13.7 million, in the first half of 2022, i.e. an increase slightly higher than that of operating income (+42%).

Cogra generated historic EBITDA of €4.9 million, representing an EBITDA margin of 19%. The quasi-stability of depreciation brought operating income to 3.4 million euros, ie an operating margin of 14%, up very sharply (+217%).

Building on this successful first half, Cogra anticipates a solid second half and expects to achieve an Ebitda margin of at least 15% for the full year.
