Emmanuel Macron, it is true, has always spoken out, rightly, for strict respect for the presumption of innocence. But he also benefited, for his first election, from the presumption of guilt with regard to François Fillon, favorite of this presidential election of 2017 before his descent into judicial hell. And he made a point of staging, in front of the television cameras, the signing of the first major law of the five-year term, that for confidence in public life…, which notably prohibits parliamentarians from hiring members of their family in their team.
