(CercleFinance.com) – Colas Rail, a member of a consortium led by Alstom, has been chosen by Mitsubishi Corporation to design and build the E&M (Electrical & Mechanical) systems and work on the railway tracks for the extension of the NSCR (North South Commuter Railway) line in the Philippines.
The NSCR line extension project consists of the construction of approximately 110 km of line, serving 27 new stations, with a southern section of 55 km between Tutuban and Calamba, in the province of Laguna, and a northern section of 51 km between Malolos and Clark International Airport, in the province of Pampanga.
The contract won by Colas Rail covers the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of railway tracks and overhead contact systems.
After the Manila metro underground line at the end of 2021, the extension of the NSCR line is the second major rail infrastructure project won by Colas Rail in the Philippines.
