Coldplay celebrate the premiere of their new song “Higher Power” via live chat with an astronaut on the ISS.

They succeeded in this surprise: Coldplay have released their new song “Higher Power” – and the premiere was in space! The track was presented by the French astronaut Thomas Pesquet (43) on the International Space Station (ISS). After that, the song also celebrated on YouTube its premiere.

Many fans have suspected for weeks that Coldplay would release new music. Cryptic projections and posters suggesting a comeback were seen in many places. In Berlin, for example, there was a projection at the former listening station on Teufelsberg.

“Higher Power” was created on the sink

“Higher Power is a song that was written on a small keyboard and a sink in a bathroom in early 2020,” commented the musicians the publication on her official Instagram account. On May 9th, Coldplay will perform “Higher Power” on “American Idol” before appearing on stage at the BRIT Awards on May 11th.
