The who’s who of US politics met in Washington to pay their last respects to the late Colin Powell.

The late ex-US Secretary of State Colin Powell (1937-2021) was adopted at a memorial service. High-ranking figures from US politics gathered for the ceremony in Washington’s National Cathedral. In addition to the presidential couple Joe (78) and Jill Biden (70), Barack (60) and Michelle Obama (57) as well as George W. (75) and Laura Bush (75) also appeared. In addition, Hillary Clinton (74) also attended the church. They all sat next to each other in the front row during the memorial service.

The fact that Bill Clinton (75) was surprisingly absent could have health reasons suspects the US-American side “TMZ”. The fact that ex-President Donald Trump (75) stayed away from the ceremony was not surprising. After Powell’s death, he had made derogatory comments about the deceased. “It’s nice to see that Colin Powell, who made so many missteps in Iraq and with the so-called weapons of mass destruction, is now being treated so nicely by the fake news media in his death,” said Trump’s heavily criticized impassiveness.

Powell was 84 years old

Powell died on October 18 at the age of 84 from complications from Covid 19 disease. He was fully vaccinated, but had been in massive health problems for several years, it said. Among other things, he suffered from blood cancer. Powell was the US’s first African-American National Security Advisor and was Secretary of State between 2001 and 2005 under President George W. Bush.
