Collision – semi-trailer truck collided with an oncoming car

A 52-year-old man from Spittal was driving a tractor-trailer on the B 100 near the Sachsenburg exit towards Spittal an der Drau on Tuesday morning. He probably drove into the opposite lane because of health problems.

First he hit the guardrail, drove back onto the road and collided head-on with an oncoming car driven by a 34-year-old man from Spittal an der Drau. The tractor-trailer then came to a standstill after approx. 150 m on the right side of the road. Admitted to hospital The 34-year-old suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Spittal hospital by the rescue team. The 52-year-old remained uninjured, but after being admitted to the accident he went independently to the hospital in Spittal/Drau to have his health checked. Significant material damage occurred on both vehicles.
