(Reuters) – Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne has called for disciplinary proceedings to be initiated against two members of staff at the central house in Arles following the assassination of Corsican independence activist Yvan Colonna in March, Matignon reported on Thursday. in a press release.

This decision follows the delivery, during the day, of the inspection report on the functioning of the prison of Arles, in which the inspection mission highlighted the “disciplinary breaches of two staff”, indicated the services. of the head of government.

“The mission highlights, in the continuity of the interim report, the disciplinary shortcomings of two personnel due, on the one hand, to a lack of active vigilance, and on the other hand, to inappropriate management of both video surveillance than orientation in the radicalization assessment district (QER)”, it is written.

“The Prime Minister took note of the mission’s conclusions and decided to follow up on the shortcomings noted by the general inspectorate against two staff by initiating disciplinary procedures.”
